Driver
Qualifications

Physical

  • Must be at least 23 years old

  • Must meet the physical requirements of 49 CFR 391.41

  • Must have and be able to use a smartphone. 

  • A desire to take your career into your own hands and crush it. 

Legal
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

  • Must comply with drivers license state of issuance laws, this may include a certain license required to transport RVs and varies state to state. 

  • CDL is preferred but not required. 

Historical
  • Driving record will be checked for prior violations and must be approved. 

  • A history of Drug Use, DUI, OWI, careless, reckless driving, or habitual offender convictions is not allowed.

  • Accident check may impact insurance approval.

  • Must Pass a DOT Drug Test

  • 5 Years of work history must be submitted. 

  • Background is clear of repeated stupidity. 

  • No history of being the guy no one wants to work with.

Equipment
Qualifications

Truck

  • Must be no more than 10 years old.

  • Must be a heavy-duty 3/4 (F250/2500) or 1-ton (F350/3500) model.

  • Must meet the requirements of 49 CFR 396.17-23 .

  • An 8ft bed is preferred but not required.

  • Nice rims are not required but may make you feel better about life in general. 

Accessories
  • Adjustable Bumper Hitch – Class IV or Class V receiver with a 2 5/16 ball and a solid steel shaft rated at least 10,000 pounds. Tripple Balls and 3-way hitches are prohibited. 

  • 5th wheel hitch– preferably rated at 20,000+lbs, minimum of 16,000lbs required.

  • Full-wheel mud flaps directly behind the tire and no higher than 6 inches from the ground.

  • Full-width solid rock guard located at the rear bumper and no higher than 5 inches from the ground.

  • Weight Distribution System

  • Digital trailer brake control

  • Mirrors that accommodate 102″ trailers

  • 16 speakers crossing your back dash is not required

Equipment
  • 1 mounted fire extinguisher with gauge

  • 3 orange DOT approved triangles

  • 4-way lug wrench or torque wrench with 3/4, 13/16 & 7/8 deep well sockets

  • Break-away battery & box with lid – 12-volt marine grade wet cell battery

  • Truck bed must measure under 59 (top of the bed to the ground)

  • 7-way electric plug in the truck bed and at the bumper (4-6 ft extension if not)

  • No window tinting on the front driver's side door, front passenger door, or windshield

  • Radar detectors are PROHIBITED in commercial vehicles. (Remember they will not help you stop the 25,000lb missile you are driving down the road.)

Helpful additions:
  • Auxiliary fuel tank and or tool boxes that do not extend above the truck bed, remember everything in the bed should be organized and secured.

  • Load distribution bars for travel trailers

  • 1 spring lock (D ring) or quick link to attach the emergency break cable to your truck

  • Zip ties or bungees for trailer license plates

  • Spare fuses and light bulbs

  • Assortment of bungee cords and straps

  • Work gloves and or disposable gloves for fueling

  • Bright colored or safety jacket/vest for roadside issues.

  • Cooler

  • Pee bottle

  • Books on tape / Audible subscription

  • Favorite pair of shades for that bright future your driving into.
